"I disagree that it was a 'sad mistake'. It was no more a sad mistake than the millions of animals that lost their lives under appalling circumstances - only for it to emerge that they were healthy all along. And how can killing a human being in cold blood be a 'sad mistake'? Ahh!!
It is interesting that in Israel, where our wonderful police were trained in these tactics, they do not actually 'shoot to kill' as they prefer to 'get their buddies not their bodies' It sounds sensible to me. (I'll find the ref for that)
And don't worry I'm used to people not agreeing with me ;-)
